Drawing Fundamentals II For Kids (May/June)

Do you love to draw? Want to learn how to get better with your pencils and pens? Drawing fundamentals II can help with both! This course is suitable for anyone who has finished Drawing Fundamentals I or a beginner/intermediate who understands the basic concepts of contour drawing and gesture drawing and is looking to improve their skill.

This class is a great foundation for more advanced drawing classes or moving into painting or mixed media.

The course will involve a significant amount of in-class drawing and we will cover concepts like…

  • More detailed contour drawing
  • Expand on various types of shading
  • Gesture drawing with figures
  • One and two point perspective
  • More detailed individual drawings that we develop throughout the course
  • A collaborative “mural” drawing

Our location at the LCLC offers us a unique opportunity to take mini “field trips” out of our classroom and we will occasionally draw in various locations around the facility. The library on site will also allow for some hands on research.

Upon completion, students will have an opportunity to pick their favorite drawing from the course and include it in our mini gallery show which will be held at the end of the last class. Family and friends welcome!
